University Literary Club

The Dimension
Zeal without knowledge is a
runaway horse. At the same time, having knowledge is
another, being able to express is another. For a
complete development of a person’s personality, the
power of both knowledge and its articulation play
complementary roles. Each is incomplete without the
other. At Literary club, we find them both given an
equal importance.
The University
Literary Club is one place in the university, which has
taken the mantle of providing vent to students desiring
to express themselves by way of elocution, debates,
creative writing, and etc. while at the same time
acquiring knowledge by way of frequent discourses and
discussions. Organising competitions in extempore
speeches, debates, symposia, quizzing etc. in the
university has helped the University Literary Club to
live up to the expectations for which it was set up. For
a change, the Club often ventures into the world of
poetry by holding poetry recitations and Bait-Bazi
competitions.
The University Literary Club has acted as a
launch pad for fledgling aspirants to attain recognition
on the state and national levels. Keeping in tune with
its reputation of being a club of national significance
in the field of literature, it has time and again proven
its credibility by organising events like All India
Literary Festival (1982), MEEZAN ’85, All India Sir Syed
Memorial Debates etc.
Many dreams have been realized, many are in the offing.
With stars in eyes, the University Literary Club aims to
set literary standards, change norms and alter
paradigms. The University Literary Club stands tall with
its baggageful of achievements and zest to reach the
Zenith.
